PASSED!

Alright!  I passed my driving test!  Praise God!

I passed! Yes!

I passed! Yes!

Me with my new, red license :)

I woke up early (for me,) and we got there at the DMV early, had to be put further back in the line do to forgetting the car registration in the vehicle, and then eventually I was all signed up for the test.  Then we just had to wait for the administrator to come in at 9am, and then?  Time for the test!

It went well, despite my being sleepy.  My test administrator was a very kind lady, and this time I had practice on those barrels, and made the parallel parking test on the first try.  Praise God for a father who has spent the time to teach me how to drive well.

And a little render to top off the ice-cream.  Any tips on how to improve my flame?

Easter Production 2010

Our  church put together a pleasant Easter production, created mostly by the youth and which involved a number of short skits, monologues, and short videos, two of which I filmed.

Here are the three pieces I put together for this special Sunday performance.

Enjoy and have a blessed Easter! Thanks to all who participated and helped.

And oh, I just got back about an hour ago from a wonderful day of filming at the Davis farm for Katherine Davis‘ documentary piece for the Do Hard Things documentary. More on this in a future post!

Intro to Indirect Lighting

Well, once again I have stayed up really late.  Last night I didn’t even go to sleep.  I stayed up, recorded a video tutorial, got it uploading, and then went to church in the morning.  I nodded out a few times during the sermon, and when I got home and had eaten my lunch, I took a LOOOONG nap. :)   Now I’m doing it again – except this time I plan on going to sleep eventually.

Anyway, enough with my fake-insomnia.  Time for my first and second video tutorials for Blender 2.5 Alpha 2! W00t! I recorded another tutorial tonight and so here it is!

Here is the second tutorial first. I made this video to streamline the concept being taught.

And my very first video tutorial! I made this in hopes of enlightening my viewers on the use of indirect lighting, but ended up teaching how to setup a whole scene with mesh lights and a simple node setup. Anyhow, it’s good too, so enjoy!

God bless and have wonderful sleep! I mean, a wonderful day!

I have my music theory homework done, but I really need to practice my voice. I am so unprepared for my lesson this Wednesday – oh wait, I may go to Cleveland over that time! Sweet! Anyhow, as you can tell, I’m quite zany at this hour of the night and I believe it’s time I took a bow and chortled my way to sleep.

Interviewed for Blender Indonesia!

A few weeks ago I was interviewed for Blender Indonesia’s magazine, [dot]Blend Magz! It is a great honor, and the second issue, containing my interview, is published! Hiza Ro permitted me to upload it to my site. Check it out now!

Right now I am very busy with preparing the footage for my church’s youth group Christmas production, which will combine live action with recorded video to put on the screen. It’s pretty cool.  Today I finished reviewing most of the footage we shot, and tomorrow I will be editing as much as possible all day long!

Gotta get some sleep, now that I’m done playing CTF matches in Open Arena!

I’ve got work to do! Cheers!
