Intro to Indirect Lighting

15

Well, once again I have stayed up really late.  Last night I didn’t even go to sleep.  I stayed up, recorded a video tutorial, got it uploading, and then went to church in the morning.  I nodded out a few times during the sermon, and when I got home and had eaten my lunch, I took a LOOOONG nap. :)   Now I’m doing it again – except this time I plan on going to sleep eventually.

Anyway, enough with my fake-insomnia.  Time for my first and second video tutorials for Blender 2.5 Alpha 2! W00t! I recorded another tutorial tonight and so here it is!

Here is the second tutorial first. I made this video to streamline the concept being taught.

And my very first video tutorial! I made this in hopes of enlightening my viewers on the use of indirect lighting, but ended up teaching how to setup a whole scene with mesh lights and a simple node setup. Anyhow, it’s good too, so enjoy!

God bless and have wonderful sleep! I mean, a wonderful day!

I have my music theory homework done, but I really need to practice my voice. I am so unprepared for my lesson this Wednesday – oh wait, I may go to Cleveland over that time! Sweet! Anyhow, as you can tell, I’m quite zany at this hour of the night and I believe it’s time I took a bow and chortled my way to sleep.

Today I added a new splash image to my homepage, www.benjamindbailey.com, so when you go to my website you aren’t confronted with the horrific file structure system.

And of course, with a little CSS magic you have your classic-looking image rollover, which reveals “Go 2 Blog” – a sweet, strong invitation to join in on my merry journey!

Now for some sleep.  Tons of video editing I’ve been putting off to do tomorrow.  Man, I should learn to use buffer when working with deadlines.

Anyway, toodles!

P.S. And a big thanks to Andrew Duncan for fixing the permissions on my WordPress installation so I no longer have to link to my images on imageshack.us.  Now I can upload my files directly to the server!  Whoot!
